About Me
My Work
Lifelong photographer. It's genetic.
My father and grandfather were avid photographers and growing up we even had a darkroom in the basement. My dad bought me my first camera (a Kodak Disc) in the early 80's. After that I shot with a Pentax 35mm for many years. My first attempt at wet photography was printing some black and white photos in our darkroom in 1988. I made the transition to digital perhaps a bit too early in 2000 when 1.3 MegaPixels was considered "pretty good." Since then, I've shot with HP, Fuji, and eventually switched to Canon when I got a bit more serious. I've had the Canon G6 Powershot, the S95 Powershot, the 40D, 20D, and 7D. I now shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III.
I enjoy photographing landscapes, especially the mountains, and wildlife.
Biography
Travel is my passion. I've traveled all over the United States and to 30 countries at last count.
Originally from Massachusetts, I always enjoyed vacationing with my family and exploring the wilderness. While at Cornell University I caught the bug for international travel. After graduation I then spent 18 years as a UH-1N Marine Corps "Huey" pilot and civilian air ambulance helicopter pilot living all over the United States. I now reside in New Hampshire pursuing a Master Degree in Occupational Therapy. In addition to travel, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
